SOUTHERN HEMPSTEAD...MILLER...NORTHERN LAFAYETTE...SOUTHWESTERN
NEVADA...NORTHEASTERN CASS AND SOUTHEASTERN BOWIE COUNTIES THROUGH
700 AM CDT...
At 624 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Fulton to near Genoa to 8 miles northwest
of Queen City. Movement was east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Texarkana, Hope, Wake Village, Stamps, Lewisville, Fouke, Buckner,
Perrytown, Garland, Fulton, Washington, Ogden, Bodcaw, Mandeville,
Genoa, Canfield, Mount Pleasant, Domino, McNab, and Patmos.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
