...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHERN LAFAYETTE COUNTY
THROUGH 145 PM EDT...

At 120 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Mayo, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Mayo, Townsend, Buckville, San Pedro Junction, Day, Alton, and Mayo
Junction.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
