At 228 AM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mainly in northwest
Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma south of I44. Thunderstorms with
locally heavy rain were located in Sequoyah county in Oklahoma and
Benton and Carroll counties in Arkansas. The precipitation was in
the Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville area. Movement was to the
east at greater than 40 mph. The average amount where it rained last
hour was around one half of an inch with maximum amounts of an inch
and a half to two inches. Coverage and intensity remained about the
same as last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for late tonight and into
this morning, mostly cloudy then becoming partly cloudy, a chance of
showers and thunderstorms with temperatures 62 to 69 degrees and
southwest winds 5 to 15 mph.
