.MARCH 2016 WAS WARMER AND WETTER THAN NORMAL AT DULUTH MN...

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR MARCH WAS 31.6 DEGREES WHICH WAS 5.7
DEGREES ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 25.9 DEGREES MAKING THIS THE 13TH
WARMEST MARCH IN STATION HISTORY. THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE FOR THE
MONTH WAS 60 DEGREES ON THE 12TH. THE LOWEST TEMPERATURE WAS -2
DEGREES ON THE 1ST. ONE DAILY TEMPERATURE RECORD WAS BROKEN FOR THE
MONTH. THE RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 60 DEGREES WAS RECORDED ON THE
12TH. THIS BREAKS THE OLD RECORD OF 55 DEGREES SET IN 1903. EIGHT
DAYS HAD AVERAGE TEMPERATURES BELOW NORMAL.

MARCH 2016 WAS ABOVE NORMAL FOR PRECIPITATION WITH A TOTAL OF 3.96
INCHES OF PRECIPITATION RECORDED FOR THE MONTH. THIS WAS 2.47 INCHES

STATION HISTORY. THE GREATEST AMOUNT OF PRECIPITATION IN A 24 HOUR
PERIOD OCCURRED ON THE 15TH TO 16TH WHEN 2.08 INCHES WAS RECORDED.

TOTAL COOLING DEGREE DAYS STANDS AT 0 WHICH WAS NORMAL. THE HIGHEST

19TH AND THE LOWEST SEA LEVEL PRESSURE READING WAS 29.44 INCHES

SNOWFALL FOR APRIL IS 6.9 INCHES. NEAR NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND
BELOW NORMAL PRECIPITATION ARE FORECASTED FOR APRIL.
