...DATA FOR THE LITTLE ROCK ADAMS FIELD FOR JULY 2015...

.SUMMARY...

JULY WAS A RATHER WARM MONTH DESPITE LITTLE ROCK ONLY REACHING THE
CENTURY MARK ONCE THIS MONTH ON THE 29TH WITH A HIGH OF 101 DEGREES.
IT WAS THE HIGH HUMIDITY VALUES THAT CAUSED LOW TEMPERATURES TO
REMAIN ELEVATED...ALLOWING FOR AN ABOVE NORMAL AVERAGE MONTHLY
TEMPERATURE. GENERALLY SPEAKING...HIGH AND LOW TEMPERATURES RAN
ABOVE NORMAL THROUGH MOST OF JULY. TEMPERATURES RETURNED TO NEAR
NORMAL VALUES THE LAST TWO DAYS OF THE MONTH AS COOLER AIR MOVED
INTO THE STATE BEHIND A COLD FRONT.

ALTHOUGH THE TOTAL RAINFALL FOR THE MONTH WAS ABOVE NORMAL...MOST OF
THE PRECIPITATION FELL DURING THE FIRST 15 DAYS. THE ONLY MEASURABLE
RAINFALL AFTER JULY 15TH WAS AN AMOUNT OF 0.20" THAT FELL ON JULY
23RD.

.MONTHLY TEMPERATURES...

THE AVERAGE HIGH...THE AVERAGE LOW...AND THE AVERAGE MONTHLY
TEMPERATURES WERE THE WARMEST SINCE JULY 2012.

.TEMPERATURE RECORDS TIED OR BROKEN DURING THE MONTH...

THE AVERAGE MONTHLY LOW TEMPERATURE FOR JULY 2015 WAS THE 8TH
WARMEST FOR ANY MONTH ON RECORD...AND THE 6TH WARMEST FOR ANY JULY
ON RECORD.

A WARMEST LOW TEMPERATURE WAS SET ON THE 25TH WITH A LOW OF 80
DEGREES. THIS TIES THE OLD RECORD SET IN 1934 AND 1997.

.DAILY RAINFALL RECORDS TIED OR BROKEN...

A RECORD RAINFALL AMOUNT OF 1.75" FELL ON THE 15TH...WHICH BROKE THE
OLD RECORD OF 1.51" SET IN 1992.
