...NOVEMBER WAS DRIER AND SLIGHTLY WARMER THAN NORMAL...

WITH A TOTAL OF JUST 0.36 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION, NOVEMBER WAS THE
39TH DRIEST ON RECORD IN OMAHA. THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 40.7
DEGREES WAS 1.8 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL AND THE 51ST WARMEST. NO SNOW
WAS REPORTED IN NOVEMBER, WHICH HAS OCCURRED 9 OTHER TIMES SINCE
SNOW RECORDS BEGAN IN 1884.

TEMPERATURES WERE BELOW NORMAL ON MOST DAYS FROM THE 1ST THROUGH THE
13TH. THOUGH LARGELY A QUIET WEATHER PERIOD, MEASURABLE RAIN DID
FALL ON THE 12TH AND 13TH. FROM THE 14TH THROUGH THE 30TH, ALL BUT
THREE DAYS HAD ABOVE-NORMAL TEMPERATURES. A COLD FRONT ON THE 17TH
TO 18TH BROUGHT 0.23 INCHES OF RAIN, THE LAST MEASURABLE RAIN OF THE
MONTH. A BRIEF COOLDOWN ON THE 21ST AND 22ND BROUGHT THE LOWEST
TEMPERATURE OF THE MONTH, AT 15 DEGREES ON THE 22ND, BUT IT WAS
FOLLOWED BY SEVERAL DAYS OF MUCH ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES CLOSE TO
THANKSGIVING. THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE OF THE MONTH WAS 72 DEGREES ON
THE 24TH, AND THE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 67 DEGREES ON THE 27TH TIED A
DAILY RECORD HIGH.


FOR THE FALL MONTHS OF SEPTEMBER THROUGH NOVEMBER, THE AVERAGE
TEMPERATURE WAS 55.5 DEGREES, WHICH WAS 2.9 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL AND
THE 28TH WARMEST ON RECORD. THE TOTAL PRECIPITATION WAS 7.01 INCHES,
WHICH WAS 0.54 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL AND THE 54TH WETTEST ON RECORD AS
A VERY DRY NOVEMBER FOLLOWED A WET SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER. ONLY A
TRACE OF SNOW WAS RECORDED.
