...River flooding possible in central and southern Indiana...
Widespread river flooding may develop during the coming days
in central and southern Indiana. At this time it is uncertain
the degree of flooding that will occur.
Heavy rainfall of 3 to 5 inches is expected from Friday night
through Monday morning in central and southern Indiana. As a
result significant to near major flooding is possible in some areas
with widespread lowland river flooding likely during the first week
of May. Flood crests could be the highest experienced since April
2013 in portions of west central Indiana and the highest since
December 2015 and early January 2016 in other areas.
Significant river flooding impacts numerous local and state
roads...extensive agricultural lands and some residential areas.
Person in flood prone areas should monitor weather and river
conditions through at least Monday. Significant flooding is a
possibility...not a certainty. Flood watches and warnings will be
issued as necessary.
