...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1145 PM CDT FOR
CENTRAL RUTHERFORD COUNTY...

AT 1027 PM CDT...TRAINED WEATHER SPOTTERS REPORTED THUNDERSTORMS
PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN ACROSS AREAS IN AND AROUND MURFREESBORO.
SEVERAL ROADWAYS ARE REPORTEDLY FLOODED WITH UP TO A FOOT OF WATER
AND CLOSED INCLUDING OLD FORT PARKWAY...MIDDLE TENNESSEE
BOULEVARD...AND GREENLAND DRIVE. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES 2 TO 3.5
INCHES OF RAIN HAVE ALREADY FALLEN THIS EVENING. AN ADDITIONAL ONE
INCH OR MORE OF RAINFALL IS POSSIBLE THIS EVENING.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
MURFREESBORO...SMYRNA AND WALTERHILL.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING.
