  Des Plaines River at River Forest affecting Cook County
  Des Plaines River at Riverside affecting Cook County
  Fox River at Algonquin Tailwater affecting Kane and McHenry
  Counties

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...If you encounter a flooded roadway...turn around and
find an alternate route.

  The Fox River at Algonquin Tailwater.
* until further notice.
* At 1030 AM Saturday the stage was 13.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.5 feet.
* Recent activity...Flood forecasts for Algonquin were moved to this
  location on July 5 2011. Gage zero datum is different from the old
  gage location. Flood and action stages have changed.
* Major flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will remain steady near 13.0 feet through this
  afternoon. Additional rises may be possible thereafter.

* until late Tuesday night.
* At 1045 AM Saturday the stage was 18.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Recent activity...Gage datum was changed by 10 feet on Nov 14 2014.
  Flood thresholds and flood impacts are now 10 feet higher than
  previous values.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 18.6 feet by this
  evening. The river will fall below flood stage Tuesday evening.
* Impact...At 18.6 feet...Melrose Park - 1st Avenue pump station
  floods.

* At  945 AM Saturday the stage was 7.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 8.2 feet by early
  Sunday. The river will fall below flood stage Monday afternoon.
* Impact...At 8.5 feet...Damage begins to residences in vicinity of
  junction of Salt Creek and Des Plaines River.
