FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR ALASKA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ANCHORAGE AK
345 PM AKDT SUN AUG 2 2015

.DISCUSSION...
OFFSHORE FLOW WILL GRADUALLY DRY AND WARM THE ENTIRE MOST OF THE
REGION THROUGH TUESDAY. THE ONE EXCEPTION WILL BE THE KUSKOKWIM
DELTA WHICH WILL SEE SOME LOW CLOUDS MOVE IN FROM THE BERING SEA
DURING THE OVERNIGHT AND MORNING HOURS. HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL
LARGELY STIFLE ANY AFTERNOON SHOWERS CHANCES UNTIL LATE TUE
AFTERNOON AND EVENING NEAR THE ALASKA RANGE WHERE A FEW ISOLATED
WET THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE. A LOW IN THE NORTH PACIFIC WILL
IMPACT THE ALASKA PENINSULA WITH RAIN AND CLOUDS MON NIGHT AND
TUE.
