FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR ALASKA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ANCHORAGE AK
658 AM AKDT MON MAY 2 2016

.DISCUSSION...
THE SOUTHWEST ALASKA REGION WILL SEE THE INSTABILITY
CONDITIONS INCREASE THROUGH WEDNESDAY. THIS COINCIDES
WITH THE THERMAL TROUGH LOCATED OVER THE BRISTOL BAY
THROUGH LOWER KUSKOKWIM VALLEY AS IT MOVES WESTWARD
AND EXTENDS INTO THE KUSKOKWIM DELTA BY TUESDAY.
THIS WILL BRING NUMEROUS RAIN SHOWERS AND ISOLATED TO
WIDELY SCATTERED WET THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AFTERNOON AND
EVENING HOURS TONIGHT AND TUESDAY.
