Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
555 AM MDT Fri Sep 22 2017

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 7 PM MDT
THIS EVENING...

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...One more day of hot, dry, and
windy conditions before a cold front moves through tonight.
Humidities will be a little higher today, but will still drop to
12-20% on the plains and 20-30% in much of the mountains. Winds
will be similar or a little stronger than yesterday, and will
spread into northeastern Colorado more than they did yesterday.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Saturday through Tuesday...
Strong southerly flow aloft will continue over the forecast area
Saturday and Sunday, then decrease a bit Monday and Tuesday. There
will be an upper trough just west of the Colorado all four days.
There will be plenty of moisture in place Saturday through Monday
for decent chances of wetting rain for all the forecast area, even
more so in the mountains and foothills. Temperatures will cool off
significantly on Saturday and stay below seasonal normals all next
week.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
