FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL/NORTHERN VERMONT AND
NORTHERN NEW YORK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BURLINGTON VT
500 AM EDT THU JUL 24 2014

.DISCUSSION...
LARGE-SCALE DRYING WILL OCCUR TODAY AS HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS STEADILY
INTO THE REGION. MORNING CLOUDS WILL GIVE WAY TO INCREASING AFTERNOON
SUN AS SURFACE DEWPOINTS DROP INTO THE 40S UNDER LIGHT NORTH TO
NORTHWESTERLY BREEZES. WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE 70S THIS WILL
ALLOW MINIMUM AFTERNOON RELATIVE HUMIDITIES TO FALL INTO THE 30 TO 38
PERCENT RANGE ACROSS THE LOWER ELEVATIONS...AN FROM 35 TO 45 PERCENT
IN THE HIGHER TERRAIN. THIS DESPITE THE NEEDED RAINS OF YESTERDAY.
GOOD RELATIVE HUMIDITY RECOVERY TONIGHT FOLLOWED BY MORE OF THE SAME
TOMORROW INTO SATURDAY WITH PLENTY OF SUN AND MODESTLY
LOW HUMIDITIES DURING THE AFTERNOON AND GOOD RECOVERY AT NIGHT. SENSIBLE
WEATHER TRENDS MORE UNSETTLED BY SUNDAY INTO NEXT WEEK AS A MOIST
SOUTHERLY RETURN FLOW BECOMES RE-ESTABLISHED ACROSS THE REGION.
TEMPERATURES NOT EXCESSIVELY WARM...BUT DAILY CHANCES OF SHOWERS AND
A FEW THUNDESTORMS ARE EXPECTED.
