Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
257 PM EDT Mon Oct 16 2017

.DISCUSSION...
A cold front producing scattered to numerous showers in the S.
Midlands and Coastal Plain will continue to move offshore this
tonight. Dry and cool high pressure will build into the area
tonight through Tuesday with a cooler and much drier airmass.
No fog is expected once the dry air builds in. NE Winds will
remain elevated overnight, with gusts above 20 mph possible
especially in higher elevations with good dispersion. Minimum
relative humidity through Wednesday will be near 30 percent.
Winds will be lighter by Wednesday with only a slight increase
in moisture until the weekend. Dry conditions will continue
through Sunday, when onshore flow sharply increases moisture
with the approach of the next weather system.
