FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
315 PM EDT SUN AUG 2 2015

.DISCUSSION...A SURFACE TROUGH WILL REMAIN NEARLY STATIONARY
ACROSS THE SOUTHERN PORTION OF THE FORECAST AREA THROUGH MONDAY.
A RELATIVELY DRY AND WARM ATMOSPHERE WILL INHIBIT SHOWER AND
THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT THROUGH THIS EVENING...WITH THE BEST
CHANCES ONCE AGAIN ACROSS THE SOUTHEAST PORTION OF THE CSRA AND
MIDLANDS ALONG ANY SEA BREEZE BOUNDARY.

A WEAK WAVE OF LOW PRESSURE WILL SLOWLY SHIFT NE ALONG THE GEORGIA
AND CAROLINA COAST LATE TONIGHT AND MONDAY. HOWEVER...THE BEST
ATMOSPHERIC MOISTURE SUPPORTING SHOWER DEVELOPMENT WILL BE SOUTH
AND EAST OF THE FORECAST AREA.

BECAUSE OF THIS FEATURE...THERE IS RELATIVELY LOW CONFIDENCE IN
THE TRANSPORT WIND FORECAST FOR MONDAY...WITH THE MOST LIKELY
DIRECTIONS RANGING FROM NORTHEAST TO SOUTHEAST AT 5 TO 10 MPH.
SURFACE WINDS WILL GENERALLY BE SOUTH AROUND 5 MPH. MINIMUM
RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL RANGE FROM 30 TO 40 PERCENT.

PATCHY FOG IS POSSIBLE EARLY MONDAY MORNING...MAINLY IN THE
SOUTHEASTERN PORTION OF THE FORECAST AREA.
