FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
413 AM CDT SAT JUL 26 2014

.DISCUSSION...
A STRONG RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE CENTERED ACROSS THE SOUTHERN
PLAINS WILL CONTINUE TO PROVIDE WARM AND DRY CONDITIONS FOR THE
CENTRAL TENNESSEE VALLEY TODAY AND TONIGHT. ALTHOUGH RH VALUES
WILL FALL INTO THE 35-40 PERCENT RANGE THIS AFTERNOON...LOW-LEVEL
MOISTURE WILL INCREASE OVERNIGHT. A FEW SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL
BE POSSIBLE VERY LATE SUNDAY AFTERNOON BUT MOST LOCATIONS WILL
REMAIN DRY. DISPERSION INDICES WILL IMPROVE SUBSTANTIALLY BY
TOMORROW...AS MIXING HEIGHTS RISE TO 5000-5500 FT AND TRANSPORT
FLOW INCREASES TO AROUND 20 MPH FROM THE WEST.

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL PUSH SOUTHWARD ACROSS THE REGION SUNDAY
NIGHT AND MONDAY MORNING...BRINGING SCATTERED SHOWERS AND STORMS.
AFTER THE FRONT CLEARS THE AREA...VERY PLEASANT CONDITIONS ARE
EXPECTED FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE WORK WEEK...WITH UNSEASONABLY
COOL TEMPERATURES AND LOW HUMIDITY.
