Fire Weather Planning Forecast
National Weather Service Lake Charles LA
259 PM CST Fri Dec 15 2017

.DISCUSSION...
Chilly night with light winds on tap as surface high
pressure settles into the region. Dry weather is
expected tomorrow with weak ridging aloft, though plenty
of cloud cover will continue. An upper trof is
forecast to begin lifting out of old Mexico tomorrow,
inducing a weak area of low pressure to form over
the western Gulf, with easterly winds increasing and
becoming southeast tomorrow evening as the low tracks
northeast into the Sabine River Valley. An extensive area
of rain with embedded showers and isolated thunderstorms
is expected to overspread East Texas and Western Louisiana
during the evening and overnight hours, continuing into
Sunday over parts of East and South Central Louisiana.
Total rainfall amounts in the range of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are
expected tomorrow night and Sunday.
