Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Northern IL and Northwest IN
National Weather Service Chicago/Romeoville IL
408 PM CDT Fri Apr 19 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Strong west winds gusting as high as 35 to 40 mph and relative
humidity levels dropping into the 25 to 30 percent range will
result in a continued elevated fire danger through early evening.
There is a good signal for frost and possibly a freeze Sunday
morning outside of Chicago. Areas of frost will then be possible
again Monday morning. The next chance for rain will Monday night
into Tuesday when a few thunderstorms will also be possible.
