Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Washington and North Idaho
National Weather Service Spokane WA
251 PM PDT Sun Jun 25 2017

.DISCUSSION...

...HAINES 5 AND 6 TONIGHT...
...THUNDERSTORMS MONDAY...
...GUSTY WINDS WITH LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY MONDAY AND TUESDAY...

The atmosphere will be quite unstable promoting haines indices of
5 and 6 tonight. Monday afternoon and evening will feature a
chance for thunderstorms across E WA and N ID. Any storms in the
late afternoon and evening will have the potential to produce
gusty outflow winds. A cold front will bring increased winds for
Central WA Monday afternoon and evening then spread into the Basin
Tuesday. The winds coupled with low humidity will bring the
potential for rapid fire spread with any new starts. Temperatures
will remain slightly above average through the work week and into
next weekend. There are a few chances for showers or
thunderstorms in the northern and eastern mountains through the
week but overall, a dry pattern is expected for the Inland
Northwest.
