Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest Arkansas...
Northwest Louisiana...East Texas...and Extreme Southeast Oklahoma
National Weather Service Shreveport LA
308 PM CDT Mon Jun 26 2017

.DISCUSSION...
Isolated showers have developed just south of deep east Texas
nearest to a mid-level frontal boundary. 20-foot winds have
veered to the east and thus, mid-level moisture has commenced to
increase a bit. As such, excellent recoveries in overnight
humidities is expected /80-90 percent/. Daytime temperatures will
be warming into the upper 80s to lower 90s tomorrow and Wednesday
though ensuing low level moisture will allow for humidities to
remain in the 50-60 percent range even during peak heating. East-
southeast 20-foot wind speeds will be light through tomorrow /5
kts or less/ with speeds increasing to near 10 kts Wednesday
afternoon. Although there will be chances for isolated to
scattered precipitation for mainly along and south of the
Interstate-20 corridor each afternoon, widespread precipitation
is not expected. However, despite warmer daytime temperatures,
humidities will remain above critical thresholds and coupled with
relatively light 20-foot wind speeds will lead to rather low fire
weather concerns.
