.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the area from Sunday
evening through Monday evening. Please refer to the National
Weather Service website at weather.gov/desmoines for further
details.

River ice jams may also occur early next week due to recent above
freezing temperatures and expected rainfall Sunday and Monday.

Spotter activation will not be needed, but reports of snowfall
and ice accrual would be appreciated.

Freezing drizzle is also possible tonight for the area and may
lead to slick roads.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

A wintry mix of precipitation is expected Sunday through Monday.
Ice accrual of less than one tenth of an inch, along with
generally 1 to 2 inches of snow is possible.

Strong winds are likely Monday. Northwesterly wind gusts upwards
of 45 mph may lead to periods of blowing snow and adverse travel
impacts.

River ice jams may also occur early next week due to recent above
freezing temperatures and expected rainfall Sunday and Monday.

A wintry mix of precipitation is expected Sunday through Monday.
Ice accrual of a few hundredths of an inch or less, along with a
light dusting to 1 inch of snow is possible.

Strong winds are likely Monday. Northwesterly wind gusts of 30 to
40 mph will be common and may lead to adverse travel impacts.

River ice jams may also occur early next week due to warming
temperatures today and Saturday along with additional expected
rainfall Sunday.

Sunday afternoon into Sunday evening. A wintry mix of precipitation
is expected late Monday afternoon through Monday night. Ice
accrual of a few hundredths of an inch or less, along with a light
dusting to 1 inch of snow is possible.

Strong winds are likely Monday. Northwesterly wind gusts of 30 to
40 mph will be common and may lead to adverse travel impacts.
