This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of southeast New
Mexico, southwest Texas and western Texas.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

Gusty southwest winds 35 to 45 mph, with gusts near 60 mph, in the
Guadalupe Mountains expected to persist through this evening. A High
Wind Warning remains in effect.

A brief period of near critical fire weather conditions are expected
across western portions of the region late this afternoon into early
evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

Strong winds could affect the Guadalupe Mountains Saturday. A High
Wind Watch has been issued for strong southwest winds for Saturday
afternoon and evening, and strong northeast winds behind a cold
front in Guadalupe Pass Saturday night.

A light freeze will be possible in northern Lea County, the
Guadalupe Mountains and portions of the Davis Mountains, early Sunday
morning.
