THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL...EAST
CENTRAL...SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST COLORADO.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

STEADY WIND DRIVEN SNOW WILL CONTINUE ALONG THE CONTINENTAL
DIVIDE TODAY AND TONIGHT. THE SANGRE DE CRISTO MOUNTAINS WILL SEE
PERIODS OF SNOWFALL TODAY AND TONIGHT...BUT THE BEST CHANCES FOR
ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL BE FROM LATE THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH ABOUT
MIDNIGHT.

A ROUND OF SNOW IS EXPECTED TO SPREAD ACROSS THE HIGH VALLEY
AREAS THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH THIS EVENING...WHICH WILL HAVE THE
POTENTIAL TO BRING 1 TO 3 INCHES OF ACCUMULATION TO THE SAN LUIS
VALLEY AND UPPER ARKANSAS RIVER VALLEY.

SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL GUST TO BETWEEN 55 AND 65 MPH ACROSS THE
MOUNTAINS LEADING TO EXTENSIVE BLOWING AND DRIFTING
SNOW...PARTICULARLY ALONG THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE AND CREST OF THE
SANGRES. THIS WILL LEAD TO HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS...AND WITH
ADDITIONAL SNOW LOADING ALONG THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE...AVALANCHE
DANGER WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

A STORM SYSTEM MOVING ACROSS NEBRASKA TUESDAY IS EXPECTED TO
ALLOW ACCUMULATING SNOW AND GUSTY WINDS AT TIMES TO CONTINUE
OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN LOCATIONS...INTO LATE TUESDAY WITH THE
CONTINENTAL DIVIDE HAVING THE HIGHEST POTENTIAL FOR HEAVIER SNOW.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

WEATHER CONDITIONS THAT MEET REPORTING CRITERIA FOR SPOTTERS WILL BE
LIKELY TODAY AND TONIGHT ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS AND HIGH VALLEYS.
