URGENT - MARINE WEATHER MESSAGE

...Strong cold front ushering in dangerous boating conditions...

.A powerful cold front has moved through the Lower Texas coastal
waters overnight. Strong northerly winds are developing, and Gulf
seas are building to hazardous levels. Wind gusts should subside
below Gale force by mid-afternoon.

...GALE WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM CST THIS AFTERNOON...
...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO
MIDNIGHT CST TONIGHT...

The National Weather Service in Brownsville has issued a Small
Craft Advisory, which is in effect from 4 PM this afternoon to
midnight CST tonight. The Gale Warning remains in effect until 4pm
today.

* WINDS...North at 20 to 30 knots this morning, with frequent
  gusts to around 35 knots. Becoming north-northeast 15 to 25
  knots late this afternoon.

* WAVES/SEAS...7 to 10 feet with occasional seas of 12 feet.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 20 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
Inexperienced mariners...especially those operating smaller
vessels, should avoid navigating in these conditions.
