AND THE NEAR SHORE GULF WATERS...
...VERY HAZARDOUS MARINE CONDITIONS LIKELY THIS WEEKEND...

.LATEST SURFACE OBSERVATIONS AND WEB CAMS INDICATE THAT DENSE SEA
FOG HAS FORMED AND IS SPREADING RAPIDLY THROUGH THE SOUTHERN
LAGUNA MADRE AND THE NEAR SHORE GULF WATERS. THIS FOG WILL LIKELY
PERSIST UNTIL MID MORNING.

THE PASSAGE OF A STRONG COLD FRONT LATE SATURDAY NIGHT OR EARLY
SUNDAY MORNING WILL BRING RAPIDLY INCREASING WINDS AND BUILDING
SEAS TO THE LOWER TEXAS COASTAL WATERS THIS WEEKEND. A GALE WATCH
IS CURRENTLY IN EFFECT...AND WILL LIKELY BE UPGRADED TO A GALE
WARNING LATER SATURDAY.

* WINDS...NORTHWEST AT 26 TO 37 KNOTS WITH GUSTS UP TO 45 KNOTS.

* SEAS...9 TO 11 FEET NEARSHORE...AND 10 TO 12 FEET OFFSHORE.

* BAY CONDITIONS...VERY ROUGH BAY WATERS.

* VISIBILITY...ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A GALE WATCH IS ISSUED WHEN THE RISK OF GALE FORCE WINDS OF 34 TO
47 KNOTS HAS SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASED...BUT THE SPECIFIC TIMING
AND/OR LOCATION IS STILL UNCERTAIN. IT IS INTENDED TO PROVIDE
ADDITIONAL LEAD TIME FOR MARINERS WHO MAY WISH TO CONSIDER
ALTERING THEIR PLANS.

A DENSE FOG ADVISORY MEANS VISIBILITIES WILL FREQUENTLY BE
REDUCED TO LESS THAN ONE MILE. INEXPERIENCED MARINERS...
