...HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FOR THE GUADALUPE MOUNTAINS LATE
FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING...

Strong west winds are expected to affect the Guadalupe Mountains
Friday morning through late Friday evening as an upper trough
approaches the region from the west.

Including the cities of Queen, Guadalupe Mountains NP,

...HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH FRIDAY
EVENING...

* TIMING...late Friday morning through Friday evening.

* WINDS...West 35 to 50 mph with gusts to 70 mph.

* IMPACTS...These winds could make driving difficult for high
  profile vehicles such as campers, vans and tractor trailers.
  Airplanes flying over the Guadalupe Mountains may experience
  severe turbulence.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Wind Watch means there is the potential for a hazardous
high wind event. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph, or gusts of
58 mph or stronger may occur. Continue to monitor the latest
forecasts.
