...STRONG WIND EXPECTED ACROSS PORTIONS OF CENTRAL WYOMING THROUGH
THIS AFTERNOON...

.AN APPROACHING WINTER WEATHER SYSTEM WILL BRING STRONG WIND TO
SOUTHERN AND EASTERN FREMONT COUNTY...EAST THROUGH MOST OF NATRONA
COUNTY. THE STRONG WIND WILL PERSIST THROUGH LATE THIS AFTERNOON.
THE WIND WILL GENERALLY DECREASE SATURDAY EVENING.

...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM MST THIS
EVENING...

* TIMING...A SOUTHWEST WIND WILL INCREASE THIS MORNING AND STAY
  STRONG THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON.

* WINDS...SOUTHWEST 30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 60 MPH.

* IMPACTS...TRAVELERS FROM SOUTH PASS...TO SWEETWATER STATION...
  TO MUDDY GAP...AND ON TO CASPER WILL EXPERIENCE VERY STRONG
  CROSS WINDS AND SUDDEN GUSTS. ADDITIONALLY...THE WIND WILL
  CAUSE SOME BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WITH SHARP REDUCTIONS TO
  VISIBILITY AT TIMES. THIS WILL BE MOST NOTICEABLE AROUND THE
  CASPER AREA WHERE THE SNOW COVER IS DEEPER.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH WIND WARNING MEANS A HAZARDOUS HIGH WIND EVENT IS EXPECTED
OR OCCURRING. SUSTAINED WIND SPEEDS OF AT LEAST 40 MPH OR GUSTS
OF 58 MPH OR MORE CAN LEAD TO PROPERTY DAMAGE.
