...November temperatures were well above normal for both North
Platte and Valentine while precipitation was above normal for
North Platte and below normal for Valentine...

For North Platte, the average daily mean temperature for the month
of November was 42.7 degrees and was 7.1 degrees above the normal of
35.6 degrees. November 2016 will go down as the sixth warmest
November on record for North Platte. The average daily high
temperature for the month was 58.9 degrees which was 8.7 degrees
above the normal of 50.2 degrees. The average daily low temperature
was 26.4 degrees which was 5.4 degrees above the normal of 21.0
degrees. One daily temperature record was set for the month of
November for North Platte. On the 6th, the daily low temperature was
52 degrees which was the new daily record high minimum temperature
for that date. The previous record was 45 degrees set in 1944.

For Valentine, the average daily mean temperature for the month of
November was 42.1 degrees which was 7.7 degrees above the normal of
34.4 degrees. November 2016 will go down as the fourth warmest
November on record, tied with the year 1913. The average daily high
temperature for November was 57.0 degrees which was 9.3 degrees
above the normal of 47.7 degrees. The average daily low temperature
for the month was 27.3 degrees which was 6.1 degrees above the
normal of 21.2 degrees. One daily record high temperature was set
during the month of November for Valentine. On the 9th, the high in
Valentine was 76 degrees. This mark broke the record of 75 degrees
set previously in 2001.

At Lee Bird Field in North Platte, precipitation for November
totaled 0.79 inches which was 0.15 inches above the normal of 0.64
inches. No daily precipitation records were set during the month of
November for North Platte. For the month, 5.0 inches of snowfall
occurred which was 1.1 inches above the normal of 3.9 inches. One
daily snowfall record occurred during the month of November. On the
18th, 2.9 inches of snow fell at North Platte, breaking the record
of 2.3 inches set previously in 1961.

At Miller field in Valentine, precipitation for November totaled
0.29 inches which was 0.36 inches below the normal of 0.65 inches.
No daily precipitation records were set during the month for
Valentine. Snowfall for the month totaled 3.3 inches and was 2.1
inches below the normal of 5.4 inches. No daily snowfall records
were set during the month of November for Valentine.
