A RECORD 2-DAY RAINFALL TOTAL OF 12.40 INCHES WAS OBSERVED IN
GAINESVILLE DURING HURRICANE IRMA ON SEPTEMBER 10TH AND 11TH. THIS
BREAKS THE OLD RECORD OF 11.81 INCHES FROM HURRICANE FOUR IN 1894.
IT ALSO BREAKS THE OLD RECORD OF 10.42 INCHES FROM TROPICAL STORM
DEBBY IN 2012.
