LATE THURSDAY EVENING FOR RELATIVE HUMIDITY OF 15% OR LESS, 20 FOOT
WINDS OF 20 MPH OR MORE, AND VERY HIGH TO EXTREME FIRE DANGER FOR THE
GUADALUPE, DAVIS, AND APACHE MOUNTAINS, SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO
PLAINS, VAN HORN AND THE HIGHWAY 54 CORRIDOR, REEVES COUNTY AND
THE UPPER TRANS PECOS, AND LOVING, PRESIDIO, BREWSTER, PECOS, LOVING,
AND WARD COUNTIES...

.Critical to extremely critical fire weather on Thursday combined
with fuels nearing the 90th percentile will result in increased
Significant Fire Potential, large problematic fires are possible.
Dry and windy conditions will persist into the evening so relief
will be slow to come.

FRIDAY FOR RELATIVE HUMIDITY OF 15% OR LESS, 20 FOOT WINDS OF
20 MPH OR MORE, AND VERY HIGH TO EXTREME FIRE DANGER...

The National Weather Service in Midland/Odessa has issued a Red
Flag Warning, which is in effect from noon Thursday to 1 AM CDT
Friday.

* HUMIDITY...8 TO 15%.

* WIND...Southwest 20 to 30 mph. Above 6000 ft...west winds 25 to
  35 mph with higher gusts.

* FIRE DANGER...Very high to extreme.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Here are some things you can do to help prevent wildland fires:
Observe outdoor burning restrictions for your area. Stow trailer
chains properly. Hold off on yard work or welding near dry
vegetation. Avoid driving in dry grass. Extinguish cigarettes
inside your vehicle.

EXTREME FIRE DANGER...

* HUMIDITY...4 TO 15%.

* WIND...Southwest to west 20 to 35 mph. Above 6000 ft...west
  winds 35 to 50 mph with higher gusts.

* FIRE DANGER...Very high to extreme.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not throw cigarettes onto the ground or out of a moving
vehicle. Do not drive through tall grass. Avoid activities that
may produce outdoor flames or sparks. Accidental ignitions will
have the potential to grow rapidly into dangerous wind-driven
wildfires.
