DAILY RIVER AND LAKE SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
1237 PM EDT TUE MAY 3 2016

...All river forecast points have remained below flood stage through
this morning...

Widely varying rainfall amounts have been reported during the past
24 hours...ranging from less than one-quarter inch to about 2 inches.
Significant river stage rises have occurred on the Enoree...Broad...
Wateree...and Congaree Rivers.

A cold front currently stalled over the mountains of western North
Carolina and northern Georgia will resume dropping southeast
and cross the area by tonight. Even though atmospheric moisture
has decreased somewhat...another upper level disturbance is
projected to move across the area while triggering scattered showers
and thunderstorms later this afternoon through this evening.

Additional rainfall amounts of one-quarter to one-half inch are
anticipated. Rivers have already crested in most places...and will
experience either fluctuations or falls through Thursday.
