...High Fire Danger Today...

High fire danger is once again expected today across western
Missouri and eastern Kansas. Sustained winds of 20 to 25 mph with
gusts exceeding 30 mph are expected, which combined with
extremely dry surface fuels, will result in an elevated fire
danger risk across the area. These conditions will be favorable
for the rapid spread of any grass fires that ignite. As a result,
outdoor burning is highly discouraged today.
