...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR HARALSON...CARROLL AND
NORTHWESTERN HEARD COUNTIES UNTIL 1015 PM EST...

At 930 PM EST...a line of strong thunderstorms was extending from I
20 Welcome Center to Newell to near Wadley...and moving northeast at
40 mph.

  HAZARD...Winds up to 40 mph and heavy rain.

  IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
           light...unsecured objects. Heavy rain may cause temporary
           street flooding especially in poor drainage areas.

Some locations in the path of these storms include
Carrollton, Buchanan, Franklin, Bremen, Temple, Tallapoosa, Bowdon,
Mount Zion, Waco, Ephesus, Centralhatchee, Roopville, Abilene,
Draketown, John Tanner State Park, Blackjack Mountain, Eubank Lake,
Bowdon Junction, Tyus and Roosterville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. Motorists should
slow down and be prepared for possible loss of control due to
hydroplaning.
