...SPOTTY LIGHT FREEZING RAIN OCCURRING OVER NORTHERN WISCONSIN...

Patchy light freezing rain will affect northern Wisconsin, mainly
north of a line from Merrill to Marinette, through about
midnight. Although air temperatures are a little above freezing,
road temperatures are near the freezing mark, so light icing is
occurring on some secondary roads, bridges and overpasses. At 950
pm, a weather spotter reported light icing on their vehicle, and
roads starting to get slick around Eagle River. The light freezing
rain will end from west to east late this evening, and exit far
northeast Wisconsin shortly after midnight. However, untreated
roads could remain icy in spots through the overnight hours.

Hunters and others with holiday travel plans should be alert for
locally hazardous driving conditions over northern Wisconsin
tonight. Slow down, and allow extra time to reach your
destination.
