UPPER HOOD RIVER VALLEY-CENTRAL COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE-
INCLUDING THE CITIES OF...PARKDALE...ODELL...HOOD RIVER...
CARSON...UNDERWOOD
856 PM PST SUN DEC 14 2014

...LIGHT ACCUMULATING SNOW POSSIBLE FOR THE UPPER HOOD RIVER
VALLEY THROUGH EARLY TUESDAY...

EASTERLY OFFSHORE FLOW IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH THE
COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. WITH A FAIRLY
COOL AIR MASS ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE CASCADES...AND SEVERAL WEAK
WEATHER SYSTEMS ON TAP...THERE MAY BE POTENTIAL FOR SOME LIGHT
SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OVER UPPER PORTIONS OF THE HOOD RIVER
VALLEY THROUGH EARLY TUESDAY.

WITH TEMPERATURES NEAR 40 DEGREES THIS EVENING ON THE GORGE
FLOOR AND ONLY SLIGHT COOLING EXPECTED...IT IS APPEARING LESS
LIKELY THAT ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL DEVELOP BELOW 1000 FEET IN
ELEVATION. MOST OF HOOD RIVER SHOULD JUST SEE PERIODS OF COLD RAIN
AND PERHAPS A FEW WET SNOWFLAKES...BUT ACCUMULATING SNOW IS NOT
EXPECTED. MORE ELEVATED PORTIONS OF THE UPPER HOOD RIVER VALLEY
SUCH AS PARKDALE AND THE COMMUNITY OF MOUNT HOOD MAY RECEIVE
PERIODS OF LIGHT SNOW WHICH COULD ADD UP TO A COUPLE INCHES BY
EARLY TUESDAY.
