URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...Lake effect snow is expected overnight, but a more significant
snowfall is expected Monday night through Wednesday afternoon...

.Lake effect snow bands will push onshore with the passage of a
trough tonight. Moderate to heavy snow is expected with these
bands resulting in light snow accumulations.

An arctic front is forecast to move south across the area Monday
night bringing a broader area of snow to the snowbelt. Moderate
to heavy lake effect snow is possible at times, Monday night
through Wednesday.

THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Lake effect snow occurring. Heavy lake effect snow
  possible. Plan on slippery road conditions. Additional snow
  accumulations of 2 to locally 5 inches are expected overnight.
  Additional snow accumulations of 9 to 12 inches are possible
  from Monday night through Wednesday afternoon. Travel may be
  difficult.

* WHERE...Southern Erie county.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 7 AM EST Monday.
  For the Winter Storm Watch, from Monday evening through
  Wednesday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Significant reductions in visibility are
  possible.

A Winter Weather Advisory for lake effect snow means lake effect
snow is forecast that will make travel difficult in some areas.
Use caution when traveling. The latest road conditions can be
obtained from the Department of Transportation web site.

A Winter Storm Watch for heavy lake effect snow means there is a
potential for a large amount of snow in only a few hours.
Visibilities and depth of snow can vary greatly, impacting travel
significantly. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts.

* WHEN...From Monday evening through Wednesday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Significant reductions in visibility are
  possible.
