This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska...
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...

Southerly winds will increase to 25 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph
east of Highway 83 late this afternoon and evening. Wind gusts as
high as 45 to 55 mph cannot be ruled out along and east of Highway
283.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...

Northwesterly winds sustained at 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 45 mph
are expected in the wake of a cold frontal passage Saturday morning
and early Saturday afternoon. Near critical fire weather conditions
may develop for an hour or two in eastern CO during the mid to late
afternoon.

Low temperatures may approach freezing in northwest KS and southwest
NE Sunday morning.

A favorable pattern for strong winds and critical fire weather
conditions is expected to evolve over portions of the High Plains on
Tuesday.
