...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

IN 2003, SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPED ACROSS NORTHWEST KANSAS AND
SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING HOURS.
LARGE HAIL UP TO TENNIS BALLS AND STRONG WINDS UP TO 75 MPH WERE
REPORTED ACROSS GRAHAM, WICHITA, DECATUR, RED WILLOW AND HITCHCOCK
COUNTIES. BROKEN WINDOWS AND POWER OUTAGES DUE TO SEVERE WEATHER
WERE REPORTED ACROSS PARTS OF RED WILLOW COUNTY.
