...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

In 1955, it was a record breaking cold morning in the Tri State
area. The temperature dropped to 13 degrees below zero in Yuma
Colorado, 7 below in McCook, 5 below in Tribune,  3 below in
Goodland, Hill City and Burlington , while Colby reached 1 below.
All low temperatures were records for the date, and Yuma set a
record for the month of November. In 2015, tornadoes hit portions
of Gove and Sheridan counties, setting a record for the latest
tornadoes ever recorded in the Tri-State area.
