...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

IN 1989, A HEAVY WET SNOW STORM DROPPED A TWO DAY SNOWFALL OF UP
TO A FOOT ACROSS THE TRI STATE AREA. THE LOW TEMPERATURE IN
GOODLAND FELL TO 8 DEGREES, A RECORD LOW TEMPERATURE FOR THE DATE.

IN 2011, STRONG SOUTHWEST WINDS DEVELOPED DURING THE AFTERNOON,
PRODUCING WIND GUSTS TO 60 MPH ACROSS EASTERN COLORADO AND A 65 MPH
GUST IN SHERMAN COUNTY.
