...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

In 1948, between four and eight inches of snow fell across northwest
Kansas and eastern Colorado, but slightly more snow was reported
at Atwood where nine inches of snow fell.

In 1958, heavy snow occurred from Tribune to Wakeeney, Kansas.
Snow reports in those areas were around 10 inches, but Quinter
received a foot of snow and Wakeeney reported 15 inches. The rest
of northwest Kansas received three to five inches.

In 1963, three to five inches of snow fell across southwest Nebraska
and northwest Kansas. The heaviest snow fell in Stratton, Nebraska,
where seven inches were reported.
