...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

IN 1950, A VERY LATE SEASON SHOT OF COLD AIR IMPACTED THE AREA.
LOWS DROPPED INTO THE 20S AND 30S, AND 3 INCHES OF SNOW FELL NEAR
FLAGLER COLORADO.

IN 1996, A WEAK TORNADO 11 MILES NORTHWEST OF LEOTI KANSAS IN
WICHITA COUNTY DAMAGED FARM BUILDINGS, DOWNED POWER LINES, AND
BROKE WINDOWS IN CARS. A HORSE WHICH WAS CARRIED AND THEN DROPPED
BY THE TORNADO DIED THE NEXT DAY.
