URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...WINTER STORM CONTINUES TO AFFECT THE TRI STATE AREA...

AN INTENSE WINTER STORM SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO BRING
SNOW...BLOWING SNOW...STRONG WIND GUSTS...AND REDUCTIONS IN
VISIBILITIES ACROSS THE FORECAST AREA. TRAVEL WILL BE EXTREMELY
DIFFICULT OR IMPOSSIBLE IN BOTH WARNED AREAS UNDER BLIZZARD
CONDITIONS ACROSS THE REGION.

SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL BEGIN TO TAPER OFF THIS AFTERNOON AS THE
STORM SYSTEM SHIFTS EASTWARD. HOWEVER...BLOWING SNOW AND GROUND BLIZZARD
CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE TO BE EXPERIENCED AT TIMES FOR MANY
LOCATIONS IN STRONGER WIND GUSTS WITH BLOWING/DRIFTING SNOW.
WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO IMPROVE AFTER 6 PM CST / 5 PM

* WINDS...NORTH 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH.

* IMPACTS...SNOWFALL AND STRONG WINDS TUESDAY AFTERNOON WILL
  CREATE BLIZZARD CONDITIONS WITH VISIBILITIES LESS THAN ONE
  QUARTER MILE. TRAVEL WILL BECOME EXTREMELY DIFFICULT.

A BLIZZARD WARNING MEANS STRONG WINDS AND FALLING OR BLOWING SNOW
WILL PRODUCE WHITEOUT CONDITIONS AT TIMES...WITH TRAVEL BECOMING
DIFFICULT OR IMPOSSIBLE. MONITOR LOCAL FORECASTS BEFORE DECIDING
