...Dangerous Winter Storm Still Impacting Tri-State Area...

.This dangerous winter storm continues to produce heavy snowfall,
with rates up to 3 inches per hour. Conditions will begin to
improve through the afternoon from southwest to northeast.

...BLIZZARD WARNING IS CANCELLED...

The National Weather Service in Goodland has cancelled the
Blizzard Warning.

The band of heavy snow has moved east and winds continue to
diminish, so the blizzard warning has been cancelled early for
counties along the Colorado state line.

...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM CDT MONDAY...

* Total snow accumulation of 6 to 14 inches...with locally higher
  amounts possible.

* Timing...Snow and blowing snow will end from the west to the
  east this evening.

* Winds...North 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* Temperatures...In the mid 30s.

* Impacts...Expect whiteout conditions due to the combination of
  heavy snowfall and very strong winds. Power outages have
  occurred from falling trees and power lines. Motorists have been
  stranded on highways and Interstate 70. Travel is discouraged.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Blizzard Warning means strong winds and falling or blowing snow
will produce whiteout conditions at times...with travel becoming
difficult or impossible. Monitor local forecasts before deciding
to venture outside. If you must travel and you become stranded...
stay with your vehicle until help arrives.
