...January at Rochester, MN Received Above Normal Precipitation
and Slightly Below Normal Temperatures...

The average temperature in January was 14.6 degrees, which was 1.1
degrees below normal. The average high temperature was 22.9
degrees and the average low was 6.3 degrees. The highest
temperature in the month was 42 degrees, which occurred on the
20th and 26th. The lowest reading was 18 degrees below zero, which
occurred on the 6th.

A total of 1.42 inches of precipitation fell during the month, which
was fifty six hundredths of an inch above normal. The greatest 24
hour precipitation total was ninety one hundredths of an inch, which
occurred on the 22nd.

There was 16.2 inches of snow during the month, which was 4.2 inches
above normal. The greatest 24 hour snowfall amount was 8.1
inches, which occurred on the 22nd.
