...Rochester, Minnesota, was warmer than normal and received below
normal precipitation for the month of September...

The average temperature for the month was 64.1 degrees, which was
3.2 degrees above normal. The average high temperature was 75.5
degrees and the average low was 52.7 degrees. The highest
temperature for the month was 91 degrees which occurred on the 22nd.
The coldest temperature was 40 degrees which occurred on the 7th and
the 30th.

A total of 2.17 inches of precipitation fell during the month. This
was 1.18 inches below normal. The greatest 24 hour precipitation
amount was 0.52 inches, which occurred on the 25th.

Three records were broken during the month of September.

A daily warmest low temperature record was set on the 22nd. The low
was 71 on the 22nd breaking the record of 68 which occurred in 1920.

A daily warmest low temperature record was set on the 23rd. The low
was 68 on the 23rd breaking the record of 66 which occurred in 1920.

A daily maximum temperature record of 89 degrees was set on the 24th
replacing the previous record of 88 degrees last reached in 1937.

Temperatures in Rochester were warmer than normal in the month of

when the average daily temperature ranged from 10 to 14 degrees
above the normal. The temperature reached 91 degrees on the 22nd,
