...NWS DAMAGE SURVEY FOR 08/25/2014 THUNDERSTORM WIND NEAR GRANTON
WISCONSIN /CLARK COUNTY/...

.OVERVIEW...ROUNDS OF THUNDERSTORMS MOVED THROUGH CENTRAL
WISCONSIN OVERNIGHT BETWEEN 2 AND 3 AM CAUSING SPORADIC WIND
DAMAGE. SOME OF THE DAMAGE REPORTS SUGGESTED THERE WAS POSSIBLY
TORNADO ACTIVITY. A NWS SURVEY TEAM REVIEWED THE DAMAGE NEAR
GRANTON AND FOUND NO TORNADO EVIDENCE...ALL OF THE DAMAGE WAS
FROM STRAIGHT LINE WINDS. GRANTON IS LOCATED NORTHEAST OF
NEILLSVILLE WISCONSIN.

THE DAMAGE INCLUDED MAINLY DOWNED TREES AND POWER LINES. ONE SHED
WAS DAMAGED.
