...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL BROOME AND SOUTHWESTERN
CHENANGO COUNTIES THROUGH 400 PM EDT...

At 331 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Sanitaria Springs, or 12 miles northeast of Binghamton, moving east
at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Coventry, Greene, Bainbridge, Afton, Harpursville, Sanitaria Springs,
Nineveh, Chenango Valley State Park, Port Crane, and Belden.

This includes the following highway exits...
 Interstate 88 between 3 and 7.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Binghamton.
