...An area of heavy snow will affect northwestern Washington...
northeastern Hancock...northeastern Piscataquis...southeastern
Aroostook and Penobscot Counties...

At 746 AM EDT...An area of heavy snow was along a line extending
from near Chrchill Dam to Old Town...and slowly moving east.

Locations impacted include...
Lincoln, Millinocket, Howland, Patten, Danforth, Mount Katahdin,
Ripogenus, East Millinocket, Medway, Sherman, Island Falls,
Princeton, Springfield, Topsfield, Mount Chase, Haynesville, Grand
Lake Stream, Lakeville, Oxbow, and South Branch Pond.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 95 between mile markers 214 and 285.
 US Highway 1 between Princeton and Danforth.
 State Highway 11 between West Seboeis and Knowles Corner.

  * Winds in excess of 35 mph are possible with this area of heavy
  snow.

  * Visibilities will drop quickly to less than a quarter mile.

  * Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are occurring.

Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
time when traveling.
