* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Navasota River above Groesbeck.
* WHEN...Until Saturday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 11.6 feet, Moderate overbank flow is expected along
the east bank.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:55 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 10.1 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
- Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 10.8
feet late this evening. It will then fall below flood stage
early Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 29.0 feet, Major flooding is expected.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 2:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 25.5 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 17.0 feet.
- Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 29.4
feet late tomorrow evening. This exceeds the all-time record
of 29.0 feet in June of 1899.
