This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Later this evening and overnight, isolated to scattered
thunderstorms will become possible. Severe weather is not
expected, though a few strong storms may produce small hail and
gusty winds.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
Additional thunderstorm chances return Thursday and continue off
and on into the weekend. Some storms Thursday and Thursday night
may be strong to severe, especially near and south of Interstate
80. Another round of severe thunderstorms can`t be ruled out along
and east of Highway 81 on Friday, but ultimately this potential
will depend on how activity unfolds Thursday night into Friday
morning.
Near critical fire weather conditions are likely Tuesday
afternoon across the majority of the outlook area, but
particularly south of Interstate 80, due to relative humidity
values of 20 to 25 percent, and gusty north winds around 30 MPH.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation is not expected to be needed today or tonight.
