.DISCUSSION...Sunny skies are expected today as the area remains under the
influence of a Hudson Bay High slowly sinking south toward southern Ontario.
Winds this morning will be around 10-15 mph out of the northeast, but will
shift around to the east and then southeast while diminishing to around 10 mph
this afternoon. As winds shift around to the southeast later this afternoon a
bay breeze may develop which could quickly drop the mixing height at the burn site
from around 6,000 ft to 4,000 ft as well as limiting the temperatures to around
50 degrees. RHs at the burn site will quickly fall this morning with minimum RHs
expected in the low 20 percent range this afternoon.The dry and sunny weather will
continue through Thursday with slightly warmer temperatures in the upper 50s and RHs in
the 25-30 percent range. Winds Thursday will remain southeasterly around 10-15 mph.
Looking ahead, southeast winds increase to 20-30 mph on Friday with gusts over 40 mph
possible. Next chance for rain and a few thunderstorms are not expected to arrive until
later Friday into Friday night.
