A MARINE WEATHER STATEMENT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS...

NEARSHORE WATERS FROM WASHINGTON ISLAND TO SHEBOYGAN...
OPEN WATERS OF LAKE MICHIGAN FROM ROCK ISLAND PASSAGE TO SHEBOYGAN...

AT 300 AM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LARGE CLUSTER OF SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS OF LAKE MICHIGAN FROM
NORTHERN DOOR COUNTY TO TWO RIVERS. THIS CLUSTER OF SHOWERS AND
STORMS WAS MOVING EAST AT 25 KNOTS.

STRONGER THUNDERSTORMS WERE ALSO NOTED ON RADAR FROM 20 MILES WEST
OF MANITOWOC TO NEAR APPLETON. THIS CLUSTER OF SHOWERS AND STORMS
WAS MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 25 KNOTS.

ANY THUNDERSTORM COULD PRODUCE A WIND GUSTS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS...
ESPECIALLY NEAR TWO RIVERS AND MANITOWOC SOUTH TO CLEVELAND THROUGH
430 AM AS THE STRONGEST STORMS ARE EXPECTED IN THIS REGION. FREQUENT
CLOUD TO WATER LIGHTNING STRIKES CAN ALSO BE EXPECTED ALONG WITH
LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN WITH THE STRONGER THUNDERSTORMS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS UP TO 33 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THIS STORM PASSES.
